Brief description and main aims

Stork Nest is a nursery school for children aged 2-5 years old. The school aims to develop children’s self-help skills and their language and communication skills. They also want to stimulate the childrens interest and encourage creative thinking and knowledge.

Main Activities

The project provides children the opportunity to value their own gender, culture and race. The school provides the children with a safe and friendly environment where they can learn communication skills while developing an understanding of the world around them.

Volunteer tasks

  • Assist the teachers and create games for the children
  • Teach the children drawing, music and sports

Location

The project is located in Alagomeji, Yaba.

Duration

From 4 to 16 weeks

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

The volunteer(s) will stay with a host family. Volunteers will share a room with a member of the family.
Breakfast and supper are provided by the host family. Lunch is served at the work place.
